This recipe from Sarah (@helloholloway on instagram)is the best for a self-care pizza night, a date night or just whenever you feel like it! The best thing about pizza is the fact that you can top it with literally anything you want, but we will always say to add olive oil as the final topping to your pizza.
-EVOO for your cast iron and for garnishing
-6g Sea Salt
- 245g Water
-5g Instant Yeast
-Pizza sauce of your choice
-Any cheese of your choice (we used mozzarella)
-Any toppings you want! (we used salami and basil and evoo of course)
Mix the flour, sugar and salt into a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine lukewarm water and yeast and set aside for 10 mins for the yeast to activate.
Pour your water and yeast mixture into the dry bowl mixture, and mix until it becomes a dough. Once a dough has formed, begin kneading it until smooth.
Form dough into a ball, and place in an olive oil greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap or a dish towel. Let rise for 1-2 hours at room temperature.
Preheat your oven to 500℉. Place your cast iron in the oven to warm. When the oven is preheated, oil the cast iron and carefully spread your dough onto the cast iron. From here you can build your pizza with any sauce, cheese and toppings. Place it back into the oven for 8-10 minutes and enjoy!
