Pan con Tomate Recipe
A delicious and authentic Spanish dish!
Pan con tomate is a delicious and authentic Spanish dish that is created using bread and tomato! It takes about 5 ingredients, around 7 minutes to make, and it is filled with flavor. This simple and exquisite dish will transport you to the seaside and to the narrow, charming streets of Barcelona on a warm summer day.
You can make this snack just for yourself or even make a bigger batch for a party with smaller pieces of bread! For this recipe, we suggest using either our Joy or Vitality olive oils. Both will give a different undertone of flavor and add great healthy fats to your snack!
Ingredients:

2 tomatoes

1 loaf of bread (we recommend ciabatta)

1 garlic clove (peeled and halved)

Olivo Amigo Extra-Virgin Olive Oil to taste

Oregano for garnish
Directions:

Toast two slices of bread

Cut the tomatoes in half and grate them into a bowl

Add olive oil and mix together with the tomato

Cut the garlic in half and rub the cut portion on the toasted bread for added flavor

Spread the grated tomatoes on top of the bread

Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil on top of the bread

Garnish with salt and oregano
