Pan con Tomate

A delicious, authentic Spanish recipe!

Pan con tomate is a delicious and authentic Spanish dish that is created using bread and tomato! It takes about 5 ingredients, around 7 minutes to make, and it is filled with flavor. This simple and exquisite dish will transport you to the seaside and to the narrow, charming streets of Barcelona on a warm summer day. 

You can make this snack just for yourself or even make a bigger batch for a party with smaller pieces of bread! For this recipe, we suggest using either our Joy or Vitality extra-virgin olive oil. Both will give a different undertone of flavor and add great healthy fats to your snack!

  • Toast two slices of bread

  • Cut the tomatoes in half and grate them into a bowl 

  • Add olive oil and mix together with the tomato  

  • Cut the garlic in half and rub the cut portion on the toasted bread for added flavor 

  • Spread the grated tomatoes on top of the bread

  • Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil on top of the bread 

  • Garnish with salt and oregano
