SIMPLE SPAGHETTI AND SALAD RECIPE

We partnered up with our friend Lisa IG: @halffullkitchen to make a simple spaghetti and salad dish! 

Our perfect weeknight dinner is quick and easy, taking no more than 15 minutes to prepare. This wonderful spaghetti and salad meal covers all the bases for a simple, satisfying, and nutritious meal.This is a dish with little ingredients and BIG flavor, that is fitting for any occasion!
 

Ingredients: 

  1. Pasta of your choice (suggestion - Eat Banza)

  2. 1- 24-ounce jar red sauce of your choice (suggestion- Monte Bene)

  3. Greek olives

  4. 1 pound of chicken sausage

  5. 1 tbsp of Vitality olive oil 

  6. pinch of salt

Side Salad

  1. Mixed green salad (bag find at local store) 

  2. Squeeze half a lemon or more depending a preference. 

  3. Top salad with Parmesan cheese, sea salt, and Vitality olive oil.


Directions: 

  1. Add the pasta to a large pot, and season with salt to taste. Bring to a boil over high heat until the water is absorbed, around 10 minutes, but check your pasta and cook as required until al dente. 

  2. Heat the olive oil (Vitality) in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the chicken sausage and sauté, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks to achieve equal cooking.

  3. After the chicken sausage has cooked through, toss in the spaghetti sauce and simmer for 1 to 2 minutes, or until heated through.

  4. After the pasta has cooked for about 10 minutes, add the sauce to the pasta and toss to combine.

  5. Serve shortly after dishing up, garnish with greek olives, Parmesan, and basil.
