We all experience stress in many areas of our life and are always learning how to manage it. Stress is your body's reaction to challenges and pressures. It can be caused by a variety of scenarios, ranging from little inconveniences to major life catastrophes such as failing a class, losing a job, or divorcing. Stress has physical components such as increased heart rate and blood pressure, as well as thoughts about a stressful situation and emotions such as fear and anger. Other stressors do not have to be bad; they can also result from positive life transitions, such as graduating from college, earning a promotion, or having a kid. Stress may be both positive and negative, and there are healthy coping techniques. Here are 10 positive ways to manage stress:

  2. Exercise regularly: Make time to go for a stroll outside, ride your bike, or attend a dancing class. Whatever you do, make it enjoyable. Daily exercise releases stress-relieving chemicals into the body and enhances overall physical wellness. 

  3. Practice relaxation: Deep breathing, meditation, and gradual muscle relaxation are all effective techniques to relax. Taking a pause to refocus can have long-term benefits. 

  4. Get enough sleep: If you don't get seven to eight hours of sleep every night, your body won't be able to handle stress as effectively as it could.

  5. Manage your time: Prioritizing your activities might help you make better use of your time. Making a daily calendar ensures that you are not overwhelmed by daily responsibilities and deadlines.

  6. Reduce triggers of stress: If you're like most people, your life may be overburdened with too many responsibilities and insufficient time. You may free up time by exercising time-management skills such as asking for help when necessary, setting priorities, pacing oneself, and scheduling time for self-care.
